Where will the newborn session be held?
Newborn sessions are held in our home studio in the Countryside area of Clearwater. The studio is designed to be calm, safe, and comfortable for newborns and families. Unlike busy commercial studios, our space is quiet, private, and focused completely on your baby’s session.

When should I book my newborn session?
The sooner, the better. We recommend booking a few months in advance so your session is reserved before baby arrives. Since due dates can change, we will adjust the exact session date once your baby is born.

When are newborn photos taken?
Newborn photos are best taken within the first 7–14 days after birth, while babies are still sleepy, curled up, and easy to pose. We can make exceptions for babies who spend extra time in the hospital or NICU.

Does Baby Rock Photography provide props?
Yes. We provide wraps, props, headbands, flowers, buckets, blankets, and more. You are also welcome to bring meaningful personal items, such as family heirlooms, sports memorabilia, wedding veils, or special keepsakes.

How long does a newborn session last?
Every baby is different, so every session is different. Newborn studio sessions usually last between 1–3 hours, depending on feeding, soothing, posing, and the baby’s comfort.

Can parents and siblings be photographed too?
Absolutely. We love including parents and immediate family. Sibling and family photos are typically taken at the beginning of the session so little ones can finish early and relax while we continue with baby’s portraits.

Do you offer hair and makeup services?
Yes. Hair and makeup can be added to any session for an additional charge.

Should I take hospital newborn photos?
Hospital photos can be a sweet way to document your baby’s first hours, but they are very different from a fully styled newborn portrait session. A professional studio session includes careful posing, lighting, props, wraps, editing, and a calm environment designed specifically for newborn photography.

How long does it take to receive my images?
After your session, we carefully review and edit each image to create a personalized viewing and ordering experience. Initial image proofs are typically ready within 3–5 business days. Final edits are completed after image selections are made, usually within 5–7 business days. We do not post sneak peeks online until your final images are ready, but we would love for you to follow along on social media.
